The La Cappuccina Madego Rosso 2008 is a certified organic red blend out of the Veneto region of Italy. The wine is primarily comprised of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, and 15% Cab Franc. A bit of an odd blend for an Italian red, the Madego is a great medium bodied red that delivers a soft texture on the palate with pretty notes of cracked pepper and sweet tobacco. The wine is a great mid-week wine that pairs very nicely with rich stews or hearty Italian meals.
